Account delete policy

Data Retention:

At Book Bazaar, we retain your personal information and continue to use it until the following conditions are met: (i) the relevant purposes for which your information was collected, as described in this Privacy Policy, are no longer applicable, and (ii) we are no longer obligated by applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, or legitimate business purposes to retain your personal information, provided that its retention is not necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of any legal claims.

User Account and Data Deletion:

As a user of Book Bazaar, you have the right to request the deletion of your user account and the associated personal information. To initiate this request, please send a written email to support@bookbazaar.com

We will make every effort to respond to your request promptly, within a maximum of one month from either:

• (i) our receipt of your written request, or
• (ii) our receipt of any additional information we may require to fulfill your request, whichever occurs later.

As an alternative to account deletion, you may also contact support@bookbazaar.com to request one of the following options:

Account Suspension: You can request to have your account suspended, which will prevent you from participating in certain activities and accessing certain services. However, you will still be able to access other parts of our platform. Temporary Account Deactivation: You can request to have your account temporarily deactivated, which will prevent you from logging into our platform. You will still be able to reactivate your account later, along with all associated account data. If you choose to permanently deactivate your account, please note that you will lose access to our platform and services, including any user data and personal information associated with your account. Within six (6) months from the date of account deletion notification by Book Bazaar, users may request account restoration by contacting support@bookbazaar.com

When you request the deletion of your data, we follow a thorough deletion process to ensure the safe and complete removal of your information from our servers. Alternatively, we may choose to retain your data in a form that has been anonymized, ensuring that any personally identifiable information is removed or modified in such a way that it cannot be linked back to you. We take measures to protect information from accidental or malicious deletion. Consequently, there may be delays between the time you request data deletion and the actual removal of copies from our active and backup systems.
